Growing up in a home filled with abuse is a silent, invisible war that leaves deep wounds — ones that don’t always show on the outside.
For years, I carried those wounds in silence.
And now, even as an adult, I am still learning how to heal them.

Today, I want to share my journey with you, not from a place of “I have it all figured out,” but from the honest space of someone still walking through it.
This is the heart behind my book, “Becoming Nia.”

🌿 Where I Am Now: Endurance Over Strength

I used to think healing would make me feel strong.
But the truth is, I don’t always feel strong.
What I do have is endurance — the ability to keep going even when it feels overwhelming.

I’m facing anxiety and panic attacks at a deeper level than ever before.
My brain and body respond to everyday stressors as if they are life-threatening emergencies.
Simple daily challenges can sometimes feel like massive waves crashing over me, and it’s not because I’m weak — it’s because I waited too long to focus on my peace.

Now, my healing is urgent.
Now, my healing is necessary.
And now, my healing is raw and honest — no filters, no pretending.

📖 Why I Wrote Becoming Nia

Becoming Nia is not a story of “after everything got better.”
It’s a story written during the struggle.
It’s a journey of finding hope even when your hands are shaking.
It’s a reminder that healing doesn’t always look like victory — sometimes it seems like survival.

Each chapter of Becoming Nia invites you into:

  • Daily affirmations for the days when fear is loud
  • Reflective prompts to reconnect with yourself
  • Gentle encouragement to keep going, even when you’re exhausted

It’s a 30-day guide to begin becoming the version of yourself that trauma tried to bury.

What I Want Other Survivors to Know:

  • Healing is not a straight line.
  • It’s okay not to feel “strong.”
  • Anxiety doesn’t mean you’re broken — it means you’re human.
  • Endurance is a form of strength, too.
  • You are worthy of healing, even if it takes a lifetime.

You are not behind.
You are not failing.
You are still becoming.

🌷 A New Beginning

If you are someone who grew up in chaos, in fear, or silence, I want you to know:
You are not alone.
You are not crazy.
You are not beyond repair.

Healing takes time.
Healing takes patience.
Healing takes honesty — and that’s precisely where I am today.

I invite you to walk this journey with me.
Becoming Nia is more than a book — it’s a soft space for all of us who are still learning how to breathe again.

💖 You are not finished. You are becoming. You are enough. You are Nia.
